Cascais Bay Hostel

The location is good, the owner is friendly, the curtains on the beds are nice, and the linens smelled fresh. I would recommend that the first cleaning of common areas happen earlier, before guests wake up – I noticed cleaning started after 11 am. I woke up around 10:30 am and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. When I had breakfast, the ashtrays were full of cigarette butts and the pallet tables were dirty, and they stayed dirty throughout my stay. Those tables need new covers of good quality and the pallets should be cleaned. My bed was the only one without a reading light. While the girl in the room above moved, a piece of the upper bed’s frame fell on me, and my locker had no lock. Because smoking is allowed on the terrace, it can be unpleasant when it’s full for non‑smokers. Once, someone lit a cigarette next to me while I was eating lunch. :(

It was clean, very central, close to the beaches and the train station, the staff is really nice, and the kitchen is well equipped.

This hostel felt like a true home, warm and welcoming. Everybody was super helpful and kind, the beds were amazingly comfortable and everything was really clean and well organized!! Perfect hostel, I would absolutely recommend staying here, if you’re planning on visiting beautiful Cascais, I sure will stop by again!! Thank you so much!. Loved everything!!

I appreciated the friendly staff member who helped me, the clean rooms, and the overall atmosphere, but the hostel was noisy at night because of its central location right next to bars with music playing until late.
