The hotel sits right by the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, so getting around was super easy. The downside was the front desk on the 29th floor letting people smoke – we had to inhale the smoke while checking in and even saw smokers in the corridors. On top of that, the room never got cleaned during our stay.

The spot is convenient, making it simple to get to the main sights, but the housekeeping left a lot to be desired – the room wasn’t clean at all.

The hotel is about a fifteen‑minute walk from the nearest metro and tucked into a truly authentic neighborhood. Our room felt cozy and was spotless, which made the stay pleasant.

The location works well for hitting the major attractions while staying away from the crowded wall area, set in a quiet residential block next to some upscale malls – you get what you pay for. Unfortunately the room hit us with a urine smell, and the cleaning seemed limited to the visible surfaces; the bathroom door barely closed, and the walls and furniture looked like they hadn’t been properly washed.

The staff were friendly and always ready to help whenever we needed something. The only drawback was the steep climb to the second floor, which felt like an unnecessary obstacle.
