The window was broken with 17 degrees outside! The room wasn’t cleaned, only the sheets and towels were changed. The remote had batteries, but they were used. The pillows were uncomfortable. The bathroom door was broken. Great for the location!

Because of renovations, we were moved to another hotel, so I can’t rate this one. But the hotel change management was excellent, we were not charged more, and they installed us in a better hotel.

We had booked another hotel and were moved to this one far from the chosen area, believing it met the same requirements. The room lacked cleanliness; we found spiders on the ceilings, there was no staff at the reception—only a WhatsApp number to contact, and the room’s entry door had no security lock. The bathroom was too uncomfortable because the hand basin was almost above the toilet, which is too awkward for larger people, and the shower box was very small and uncomfortable. We were missing the TV remote and had to request it via WhatsApp. They offered a water heater/coffee maker in the rooms, but they were actually in a “fictitious” reception full of damp smell.

I liked the location, but the steep, dangerous stairs were a real issue.

Soon after booking, an email told us our room would actually be at Vondel Garden Hotel. It was a surprise and we had no real choice but to go there. The place was dirty and under renovation all over. The floors were wobbly and seemed damaged by mould, so the room felt badly kept and unpleasant. In short, it was far below what we had booked or expected.
