A nice, spacious room with a futon. The surprise was the shower set and bathtub on the outdoor terrace. The staff were friendly. There was a public bath. The shuttle system is useful because the hotel is about thirty minutes on foot from Nikko’s center, and the buses stop running early in the afternoon. The restaurant is independent but very close.

I appreciated the 24‑hour access to each room’s running hot water, and the outdoor bath was a nice touch; the breakfast was so delicious that I ended up eating more than I should have. It would have been better if the bike parking area had a roof.
