“Milānā pati lētāka uzturēšanas vieta”
This was the cheapest place to stay in Milan. We only needed to stay one night, so we moved on. Check‑in is done by phone. Nothing was announced beforehand. I recommend asking for check‑in instructions in advance so you can get into your room. The hotel is fully self‑service. The kitchen can be used any time, heat food, leave it in the fridge, and enjoy it on the terrace. Clean bedding, a small mess with shower doors. A spacious lounge room where you can chat with other guests at night. This place is more about communication between guests and that gives it its charm. A quiet green city area on the way from Malpensa airport. Garda coffee, you can have a snack. The beds we slept on were adjustable and small in size, please note that when booking this room. For a large person it might be uncomfortable. Breakfast has a typical Italian taste – only sweet food – biscuits, cookies, muesli, jam, chocolate cream. Be very careful about payments and taxes. In Milan 9.50EUR tourist tax per night?!
“En besvikelse.”
I was disappointed that nothing was great. The place is off‑side; we usually stay more centrally in Milan. I was curious to try a BnB here after always staying at BnB in Venice, where the breakfast was superb and the host was friendly, helpful and kind. We arrived in Milan around noon. Despite poor arrival information, we went to the address and rang the bell, but no one answered. We barely got inside because no staff was on site. A friend who was visiting helped us into the stairwell. We rang the apartment door and were let in by another guest. Communication was mainly digital/SMS. One phone call with a person about our passes. We were asked for extra payment even though we had fully paid 38 Euro in tourist tax through booking. We handed the cash, full amount, in a small bag with the room number, into a mailbox at the exit. No receipt was given. Suddenly during the day an SMS from an anonymous person claimed we had only paid 19 Euro. The earlier conversation with the host had an unpleasant undertone that made me uneasy, so I photographed the money, the bag and the mailbox. I made sure the bag was as far down as possible in the mailbox because anyone could reach in and pull it out, so the claim felt threatening that we hadn’t paid the full amount. That made the stay uncomfortable on the last night. The so‑called breakfast consisted of a few dry biscuits, available around the clock.
“Je recommande”
The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is shared.
The location is convenient, close to the metro on the same line as the bus station. The host communicated clearly for check‑in. The breakfast is industrial but acceptable.
