A cute place right by the ski lift, a Mom and Pops style spot where we stayed in the private studio that felt a bit larger than the hotel rooms; the owners were very nice and helpful, and buying a lift ticket from them saves 2000 yen per ticket compared to the main lift ticket booth; for food, try the Two Pines pizza; they don’t speak English, so have your Google Translate app ready for conversations.

The property offers gorgeous views, very friendly staff, and sits right next to Mt. Myoko Suginohara—ideal for skiing or snowboarding; it’s a little out of the way from the main town but a short walk up or down the hill gets you to shops and restaurants.
