BEWARE: you won’t get your deposit back unless you explicitly ask for it at check‑out. The lady in charge immediately hijacked the conversation as soon as I approached with my key, talking nonstop about her travels to major German cities, leaving me unable to say anything. My airport taxi arrived at the same time, and she managed to make me forget about the deposit. I only remembered it at the airport, too late to return, as it’s an hour’s drive from Patong. The management is clearly dishonest. If you don’t want people “stealing” your money by calling it a deposit, stay elsewhere.
