I absolutely loved the house itself, it was super cozy and warm! The conditions were excellent, nice and clean, and had everything we needed for a great weekend. The village was very pretty, all decorated for Christmas, and on top of that it snowed! It was magical.

The place was lovingly furnished with modern bathrooms, very clean. Fresh spring water to drink straight from the well in front of the house – very refreshing and tasty.

“Perfect for hiking in Serra da Estrela and relaxing by the river afterwards”

The house and its location were spot on. It smelled pleasant and was super clean. Towels and linens were soft and comfortable. WiFi was great. Having the option to choose between AC and a fireplace was a plus. Local amenities and proximity to Seia were handy, and the locals were kind and welcoming. You can walk to the river beach (2‑5min) and enjoy the cool water and lush surroundings. Because of the close proximity to the church, the bell toll is quite loud, which I found nice but not everyone will appreciate, so earplugs are advised. We struggled a bit with the very firm bed mattresses and skinny soft pillows, but that’s obviously a personal preference. If you’re a gentle soul, you might find it challenging that there are many wild cats and dogs roaming freely in the village, so nature’s occasional brutality is on display here.
