The inn is very quiet, set in a tidy garden with good parking and a very friendly crew. The house is far away, so you have to drive several miles for meals, and because St. Andrew was packed, finding a restaurant was hard. Inside there’s nothing to drink or a place to sit comfortably. The breakfast items were very simple—like pre‑packed cheese or supermarket jam. The crew was always nice and friendly. Breakfast times aren’t very customer‑friendly: weekdays 8‑9 am, weekends 9‑10 am. Guests should get more flexibility for breakfast. Once we were late and still got our breakfast; another time we were early, had a long drive ahead, and had to wait an hour, which was annoying. The host was there but didn’t serve; instead he turned on the TV and told us to relax. The room was very cold. We pointed out the need for heating as soon as we unpacked, but it didn’t happen. I slept in a wool sweater and socks.
