Sweet cottage with heart, located between the coast and Amsterdam, in the town of Heemstede.
“it was better than i could’ve imagined!”
The place was adorable and snug, situated in a gorgeous neighborhood. The only downside was that the neighbors next door could be a bit noisy, but that was it.
“ik ben 73 jaar, had 6 nachten geboekt en ben na 1 nacht weggegaan.”
The very narrow, low staircase is unsuitable and even dangerous for older, weak‑legged or bulky people. The smoke detectors were not what I expected based on the safety information provided. The entrance didn’t match the pre‑arrival image; you had to walk through a narrow back alley that was pitch‑black at night. It’s not suitable for people with a rolling suitcase, because it must be lifted, causing noise disturbance for neighbors. The living/kitchen area is dark and extremely small. The slanted/low roof and limited height in certain parts were not clearly shown in the accommodation presentation.
The price‑to‑quality ratio was disappointing.
