The food here is especially noteworthy; it was excellent. Unfortunately, there was no outdoor pool.

The hotel feels very cozy, with staff who are unusually friendly, helpful and attentive; the food went beyond what I expected, offering a very generous half‑board with a huge breakfast, afternoon soup with bread, later coffee/tea/soft drinks plus five types of cake, and a delightful four‑ or six‑course dinner in the evening. My room was spacious, featuring a big bed, a nice bathroom and a pleasant sitting area with a balcony overlooking the mountains. I really enjoyed the sauna facilities and the garden with lounge chairs. The village of Tannheim made a great base for both easy and hard hikes and bike rides in the valley and the mountains.

Excellent cuisine, beautiful rooms, a very nice wellness area, kid‑friendly—overall we were completely satisfied and can recommend Hotel Sägerhof.
