Hotel‑Restaurant Zum Hirschhaus in Ruhpolding lies a five‑minute walk from the spa park. Rooms feature cable TV, refrigerators, and a playroom, family‑friendly. It serves as a base for Alpine hikes, bike tours, and the nearby Vita Alpina Water Park (600 m). Guests receive an eXtra‑Card for free local attractions, and free private parking. The A8 motorway is a ten‑minute drive to Munich.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was spotless. Dinner food was excellent. The hotel’s location is convenient, and the rooms are situated in a quiet area. In summer, a small garden invites you to linger. Plenty of parking spaces are available, and our eBikes could be parked safely. Breakfast was plentiful, with frequent refills, the only drawback being the coffee. It’s not a major issue that it’s served in a thermos, but at the time we had breakfast it was only lukewarm. Perhaps consider installing a coffee machine in the breakfast area. The dining room feels somewhat dim, but that’s due to the building’s design.

The room was clean and the walk to the city center was short.

The room had a balcony and breakfast was good. However, the room was far too dark! The furniture from the seventies didn’t match the price‑performance.
