The place is right where you want to be – close to everything. Unfortunately the cleanliness left a lot to be desired; we actually saw a rat and a cockroach around the lobby. It’s a shame the location can’t make up for the hygiene issues.

We booked a private double room and it was huge and spotless, which was a nice surprise. The downside was the shared bathroom that serves several floors – it was filthy and downright gross. A clean bathroom would have made the stay much better.

The hostel’s location was spot on for getting around, and the rooms and basic facilities were about what you’d expect for the price. The only toilet and shower on the far side had to accommodate ten people overnight, and you have to trek up two flights of stairs to reach it, which isn’t ideal. On top of that, there’s no AC anywhere, so midsummer heat is intense, and the kitchen and garden were messy enough to attract rats – my friend was not happy.

The location itself is decent, but the room looked nothing like the pictures – it was cold, uninviting, and not set up for meeting other travelers. It was also pretty dirty, with bugs crawling around, so even though the price is low and can serve as a quick fix, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The biggest surprise was that drinking was outright prohibited on the property, which made the stay feel oddly restrictive. Nothing else stood out, but that rule alone was enough to dampen the experience.
