Located at 1410 metres above sea level near the upper station of the Žekovec cable car, Wellness Hotel Montis offers breathtaking views over Savinjska Valley. Guests can access the recreational centre Golte via cable car, with chairlifts and ski lifts running from the hotel to 12 km of varied ski slopes, including a ski school and ski rental services.

The hotel’s location, the cable car ride as a unique experience, and the well‑marked walking paths toward the lodge when descending from the reservoir were all appreciated; the Superior room was tidy, clean, and well equipped; the food was excellently prepared, and the staff were courteous and friendly; we enjoyed the nature and the hotel’s atmosphere.

Staying at the hotel felt wonderful; the room was solid, the food good, and the staff friendly; Golte’s location is beautiful with great trails for summer mountain hiking. It would have been even nicer if the room didn’t face straight toward the hill and the parking or road wasn’t a bit muddy. Luckily the road had little traffic, so this was a minor issue compared to the overall comfort.

The hotel is very beautiful, service was perfect, staff were kind and helpful, breakfast and dinner were generous and tasty; there were no negatives.

Accommodation offered great opportunities for nature trips, breakfast and dinner were sufficient, just a bit slow to restock; the drive to the hotel surprised us with endless winding roads that led straight to the lodge; the outdoor pool was not operational, which would be nice in summer.

The food was superb, staff friendly; the bed had a mattress that was more than necessary for replacement.
