“Never going back again unless it changes hands..”
The location - right where I wanted to be. This hotel was earlier known as the Pansal Kothi & I've stayed here before, & they used to serve great food which is no longer the case. Looks like someone else has leased it & the service has deteriorated. Room decor is better, but the rest leaves a lot to desire. Self check in was quick. Right from the first impression - unprofessional staff. They don't greet, don't smile, don't know what's happening. This guy was spread out on the sofa like a sheet & took 02 phone calls to find my booking. The sheets were unchanged after the last guest checked out, but I didn't bother because I carried my own sheet & had a long drive. I guess not washing the sheets/pillow covers has become a norm in budget hotels just like the Indian railways. The fan wouldn't go beyond a certain low speed no matter how much you turned the regulator. There was a power cut thrice on the 1st night & once on the second, though not for long & they don't seem to have a backup. My room was near the reception & around midnight, this guy turned on the TV & was watching it aloud. When I complained, he apologized & turned the volume down. Breakfast was an absolute disaster - they said they'll serve at 08::00 !! On the first day I got it served at quarter to 10 !! Only parantha or eggs. Had bland paranthas. The second day I had to catch a train so arrived at 08:00 - the guy said it won't be ready before another hour !! Upon complaining to the reception guy, he asked me if it was even included !! I said don't you have this information on your system? And and am I the only one you'll prepare it for? I t then retired to my room. He again called someone & then came in knocking to see my voucher - if it said that breakfast was included. I showed him, & told the guy over the phone but nothing happened. I had to leave so I left without having breakfast & ate elsewhere. The staff are a real spoilsport here. The lessee doesn't live on site & the staff are untrained & unprofessional boys who probably work for below average wage or Gods know what. I used to regularly stay here as I myself am a tourism stakeholder. But this is my last visit to this property
