Breakfast was good but not extraordinary, the location was perfect—right in the old town between Stiftskirche and Schloss—and still very quiet. The hotel has no parking, but the nearby car park is cheap at €12.00 for 24 hours. The rooms were a bit small for a 4‑star hotel, and on the 3rd floor the slanted ceiling makes it less suitable for taller guests.

The hotel is centrally located, just minutes from the pedestrian zone, and there’s a parking garage right around the corner at Theaterplatz that costs only €12 per day. The room was clean, with a safe, minibar, and a few bathroom accessories. At the main entrance there’s water and various snacks for self‑service. We didn’t have breakfast there because there’s a great “Café” right next door. It’s odd to have reception on the first floor, and even stranger that the elevator stops on the half‑floors for the 2nd and 3rd floors where the rooms are, so it’s definitely not wheelchair‑friendly and not helpful for those who can’t haul their luggage up the stairs. The bathroom is quite small, and there’s no shelf in the shower for personal shampoo and the like.

Reception is on the first floor in a tiny office. We booked a business room because the standard rooms were already small, yet everything feels old‑fashioned and the bathroom is tiny. The beds weren’t very comfortable and the pillows were too soft. Our room was by the main entrance, where the restaurant is located, and it got very loud in the evening on the 3rd floor. The breakfast area is on the first floor; it works but feels too cool and not cozy. Breakfast was fine, but there was no filtered coffee, which we’d expect at a 4‑star level, and the fish dishes were cold. We don’t see this place as a 4‑star hotel. The beds were absolutely uncomfortable and the price for a room with breakfast was too high.
