This top‑tier hotel sits in a fantastic spot in Asheville, and the staff are friendly; the rooftop bar and basement speakeasy are a real highlight.

The location was great, the staff were terrific, the rooftop patio offered great views but was crowded, and the art‑deco historic building was nice; they gave a free drink on arrival. The room was small, the bed and chair uncomfortable, the bathroom tiny, the elevator was very slow, and the valet parking area was cramped and hard to navigate.

The location is great and the hotel has been newly renovated. Rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly. There is no pool or fitness center, and the barking of a pet was unbearable for a few days when the owners left the dog alone all evening; it was frustrating to hear the barking for hours at bedtime, which is unacceptable. The lobby was also lacking.

Breakfast sandwiches were wonderful but pricey, and coffee pods were scarce, which was not good. The room was very comfortable and beautiful, but the coffee situation was disappointing.
