The hotel is old, it squeaks and creaks, but it’s still a cozy place with a very spacious room. It does get very old and noisy.

The hospitality and the friendliness of the staff were good, but I didn’t like that there was carpet everywhere.

The host was wonderful and the restaurant was excellent—don’t miss the spinach dumplings, the chef really nailed it. The place is very bike friendly, but there’s no AC and my room was above the restaurant courtyard, so the open window let in noise from the kitchen until 1 AM.

The location is close to the main route to Italy, breakfast was generous and fresh, but the rooms were tidy while the corridors smelled of smoke.
