I gave it 8.0/10. We absolutely loved this hotel—it’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking a quiet, private getaway away from crowds. The vibe is incredibly relaxing, the facilities gorgeous, and the whole experience feels special. Breakfast was a highlight, truly amazing. Everything is tailored for guests who want to unwind and enjoy privacy. The only real drawback is the location: it’s great for seclusion but inconvenient for exploring Koh Samui. There’s almost nothing within walking distance, so you’ll need to rely on Grab, taxis, or private transfers each time you leave, which can get pricey if you plan to go out often. It’s a place where you’ll spend most of your time on the property rather than using it as a base to explore the island, so consider that before booking depending on the type of holiday you want.

רמה גבוה, חדר מרווח ונעים , מזגן טוב, נוף ואו, צוות נעים ושירותי ואוכל טוב. ארוחת בוקר מפנקת ממש. המיקום לא בצוונג, אלא קרוב ללמאי. הבריכה נמוכה ודי קרה- נחמד כשחם , פחות נחמד בימים מעוננים. בחדר רחצה - המקלחת ללא טוש - רק מלמעלה / אמבטיה מפנקת. שירותים ממש מול הקיר שזה לא הכי נוח

“Schönes Hotel, gute Lage,neigt”

The location is spot on between Lamai and Chaweng, quiet and nicely set up, though the stairs are steep and there are many steps. The breakfast is good and the Infiniti pool is nice, but some tiles are a bit broken. We kept noticing small damages—especially in the public toilets (except at reception), on the stairs, and in the pool—and wondered why they weren't fixed. Certain spots smell like sewage because the water doesn't drain properly, giving the hotel a somewhat dated feel.

“Bad experience with Kala hotel”

The staff were friendly and the view was nice, but we stayed for four nights and the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel clearly suffers from poor maintenance and outdated facilities. In both rooms, the furniture was old and the beds cracked whenever we moved, making it hard to sleep. The bathroom was a major issue: the shower lacked a proper shelf for soap and shampoo, forcing us to bend repeatedly and creating a safety risk. I slipped in the shower, which could have been serious. When I asked for an anti‑slip mat, they only offered towels to place on the floor, which was not a professional solution. The rooms were too dark with inadequate lighting, and one room initially had a strong smoking smell; they changed the room after we complained, but that should never have happened. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvement in maintenance, safety, cleanliness, furniture, and basic comfort. The shower safety issue was especially concerning, and the towel fix was unacceptable. Despite booking two rooms, including a suite, we would not recommend this hotel.

“Magnificent place to stay”

Staff very sweet and helpful Hotel is superb spa is a must. Yoga classes were great and fabulous view
