The location is great and everything is very cheap, so I know I shouldn't expect too much. The staff are friendly. Hygiene is mediocre and sleeping is hard because the beds are extremely squeaky. There's also no real comfortable space to chill. On the upper floor there's only one bathroom, which also has a shower.

The host is amazing, and the location is perfect. The beds are a bit uncomfortable and there's no proper common area.

Good location, right next to Carpenter Street. As the main hostel of its kind in Kuching, you might meet some nice backpackers here, and the year‑round residents. No communal areas, uncomfortable seating, dark windowless rooms with loud AC, unclean toilet and a strange shower layout next to the kitchen.
