“Es un engaño absoluto y se quedan con tu dinero.”

Nothing good. Be careful!!!! They cheated me here!!!! I booked a night at this riad. When I arrived at 17:00, it was closed and I was told I couldn’t stay because a family member had had an accident and was in hospital. At 6.50 pm I rang them again to ask about their relative and to find out if I could stay that night. They told me I couldn’t stay as he was still in hospital and that they would take care of cancelling my booking. I informed Booking of what had happened. The next day I received an email stating that the riad had told Booking I hadn’t turned up, meaning I’d lost the money for the accommodation. I’ve kept the WhatsApp messages from the conversations to prove it.

Historic riad with a beautifully planted courtyard, lovingly renovated, very spacious and stylish rooms, fantastic location in the souk at the junction to the imperial city; the mediocre reviews don’t make sense. Not accessible by car, but there is a parking lot below the famous gate; the route is unclear, where to drive and where to walk.

“FATAL”

Near the Meknes square is the only advantage, but access is difficult. Very dirty, no cleaning, dirty sheets, very worn towels, nothing comfortable; the bathroom smell lingers in the room and there is a lot of humidity inside.

“Zeer matig”

I’m in the heart of the old medina, near Lahdim Square and most sights within walking distance. The place feels anti‑dated and run‑down; for the price I expected more.

The family was friendly, but the 100-150 m walk to the hotel had to be swept every day. Still liked it.
