Located on the northern bank of the River Teign, the Passage House Hotel offers stunning views across the estuary's mouth. This historic hotel features an on-site 18th-century inn, seasonal local produce in the Lightermans Restaurant, and a casual menu in the Inn specializing in steaks and fish. The hotel boasts an indoor pool, sauna, fitness centre, and free parking.

We visited for a family wedding and the hotel was undergoing renovations, which they had communicated well before our arrival. The setting on the riverbank was nice. We stayed in the South Lodge section; the room was dated but clean, and the facilities were sufficient for one night. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good and the conservatory offered great morning views. Service was good and the staff were very helpful. The value for money could be better and the rooms could use a slight makeover.

The location is great, but the apartment was very tired. The bed was comfortable though.
