Located in Bourron-Marlotte village, the 17th-century Château-Hôtel de Bourron sits on an ancient fortress grounds, surrounded by 42 hectares of parkland, 7 km from Fontainebleau. Elegant rooms feature antique furniture, en suite bathrooms, and some have fireplaces and seating areas. The chateau offers free Wi-Fi, parking, and a continental breakfast in the castle's dining room, with French cuisine available at "Les Prémices" restaurant in the former stables.

I found the place spotless, impeccably maintained, and stunningly beautiful, and getting there was a breeze. There were no issues at all.

The setting is gorgeous, the castle itself is breathtaking, and the furnishings and décor are exquisite; the host welcomed us warmly, the bedding was supremely comfortable, and breakfast was outstanding.
