Within five minutes’ walk lies Kendal’s market centre, historic Abbot Hall, Nether Bridge and riverside walks, with Kendal Castle reachable in under 15 minutes.

The guest house was gorgeous, spotless, and the bed was supremely comfy; Yvonne was the friendliest host I’ve ever met, and I’d definitely book again.

Both the human host and the dog were amazing, always making us feel welcome at the front door; the riverside view was nice and the queen‑size bed was huge; no complaints whatsoever.

The owner runs the place and is unlike anyone I’ve met—always laughing and smiling, making the trip unforgettable; the dog was adorable too. The property feels a bit old‑fashioned, but it’s still cozy and genuine.

The location was spot‑on for me, with a view of the River and a pleasant walk into town; the bed was cozy, warm, and had heating on demand; the tea and milk supplies were excellent; Yvonne was lovely, helpful, and an outstanding host—nothing to note as a downside.
