Holiday Inn Savannah South - I-95 Gateway by IHG

“Won't be staying their anymore.”

Breakfast was good, but the toilet seat was very loose, roaches were on the top of the bed, there was no coffee downstairs for breakfast, we didn’t get a bathtub even though they said they didn’t know which rooms had one, and the room was very dusty.

We were told our reservation was at a different Holiday Inn on the first check‑in, so we headed over there and found they had no record of us; after a phone call it turned out we were booked at the original location. The front desk staff never apologized or explained the mix‑up, and the room we finally received was in a hall where a wedding reception was happening, with loud music until about 11 o’clock. It was the worst day I’ve ever had.

“Would not stay here again until you get your act together. They gave it a good try but not worth what we spent.”

The property was clean and modern, but most of the staff seemed to be on their first day, which caused a lot of confusion. When we checked in we were given no information about the hotel and had to ask for our breakfast vouchers after we inquired about restaurants. The website claimed there were two restaurants, yet there was only a bar with a lounge area for meals, and the food was awful. We booked a king room but were assigned a handicapped room; the bathroom had a bathtub instead of a walk‑in shower, which is not suitable for disabled guests.

I booked online for 133 and was charged 133 when I entered my card details; the staff assured me the amount would be refunded in a few days, but almost a month later I still see two 133 charges on my card.
