I was scammed; when I arrived the doors were chained and locked.

The room was comfortable and fairly large, though a bit hard to ventilate; the bathroom was clean with hot water, good value for money, and I highly recommend this hotel. However, the GPS location was wrong—when I asked for directions and followed Google Maps, I ended up about 2 km away in a noisy area at the wrong address. The fix is to search for Garden Plaza Hôtel on Google Maps and you’ll be fine.

The location was good, but the room was extremely noisy – it sounded like a wedding was happening inside the hotel. We tried to relax for a few hours, but that didn’t help.

The hotel's location was a real plus, with easy walking access to both the new and old parts of the city. The building itself had a certain charm, with a nice architectural appeal. However, the air con was ridiculously loud and kept me up all night. The furniture and bed were also pretty old and in need of an upgrade - I could feel the springs through the mattress and the bedding and towels were worn out.
