The Perla rental sits in one of Jerusalem’s most scenic areas, Ein Karem, and the patio view is stunning, with endless gorgeous sights for anyone wandering the village’s alleys, footpaths, and back‑streets. The room itself is well‑designed, spacious, and has high ceilings, plus a cozy “living room” linked to a fully equipped kitchenette that includes a coffee machine, fridge, and stove‑top. The air‑conditioning—essential in Israel—was a lifesaver during our July stay. Walking the sunrise, sunset, and late‑night streets of the village made the weekend feel magical, and at least three open restaurants were within walking distance on Sabbath evening. The host explained that the property once housed his parents, refugees who lived in isolation and relative poverty, and that his mother, a caring and warm host, inspired him to honor her memory by converting part of the home into a holiday rental. I have no real criticism of the room; just remember that Israel gets very hot in July, though Ein Karem remains beautiful all year, especially in late winter and spring.
