I liked the only staff member at the hotel, a friendly man, and I managed to negotiate better room conditions with him, though I had to pay extra for the upgrade. The TV only offered one channel, there were no outlets near the bed which was inconvenient, and the bathroom door that covers the shower opened and closed intermittently.

Room 12 had a smoking balcony, the hotel is close to tram line 4, just a 15‑minute walk from the station, and a tip: the hotel sits right on the tram bridge. It is not suitable for disabled guests.

The hotel was useful for reaching our destinations, which was the only good thing. Breakfast wasn’t available and we were told about it only when we arrived. The toilet seat was loose and slid around. The first night was noisy from traffic and cold because we couldn’t seal the windows properly, a problem we noticed the next morning. Shower doors couldn’t be fully closed, and the furnishings didn’t match the photos. Overall, everything felt very old and in need of major renovation.

The location near the train station was very good, but the rooms were very plain.

The value for money was excellent, and the hotel’s Indian restaurant served the most delicious Indian food I’ve ever had; highly recommended.
