The staff were very friendly, but I didn’t receive the room I paid for—apparently a mistake by a third‑party booking site. I’ve yet to hear back about a refund for the extra $100 I paid for a bathroom that wasn’t available.

The upstairs corner room had a fantastic view of the garden and lake, was quiet, and the screen door let me enjoy the evening sounds of birds and frogs. The shower was hot, the bed comfy, and the restaurant was easily reachable. The bathroom could have been cleaner; there were hairs in the tub and a few bits of rubbish on the floor when I arrived.

The room was nice with a view of the pond, but the bathroom door hinges squeaked loudly, waking my partner whenever someone used the bathroom at night.

Everything was very clean, spacious, airy, and bright, with comfy beds and warm showers; the room heater worked well. I especially liked the fantastic breakfast spot and the great food overall. I’d recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay again when visiting the Yarra Valley for an overnight or weekend stay.
