The hotel is well‑situated, the staff are very kind, and the rooms are spacious. There’s always water available in the lobby—cold, sparkling, and at the same time—so you can fill a jug and bring it to your room. The downside is the bathroom smells awful; it looked clean on the surface but probably doesn’t use chlorine or any other floor‑cleaning product, and it reeked of a gas station bathroom. It’s a shame because the rooms are very comfortable.

The hotel is excellently located, just a few minutes’ walk from the start of the historic centre. It’s modern, offers a good breakfast, spacious and fully equipped rooms, and is extremely quiet. The staff we dealt with are very competent and always smile. I would definitely come back. Everything was up to par, nothing to criticize.

The Novotel surprised us a lot. It’s very comfortable, the room is large and modern, the breakfast is the best among European hotels, and the parking system is wonderful (you’re given a spot that stays yours until you leave). There’s no noise in the rooms, which is perfect for sleeping, and it’s less than ten minutes from the little Venice, the most beautiful place in Colmar.

The location was wonderful. The bed was uncomfortable, the air conditioning failed and the room got hot in the middle of the night. The toilet was near the door and the shower was on the opposite side of the room, which was a bit odd.
