“Value accommodation in Whakatane”
Large rooms, good amount of lights, clean, close to town. Old style, motel next to a cemetary
There wasn’t much to like, and I wasn’t happy at all. Upon arrival, our parking spots were already taken. Both TVs didn’t work, and one room’s bed had only three legs while the heat pump was also non‑functional. Overall, the stay felt like a $50 experience rather than the advertised $150, and I would never return.
“Not the best stay”
The location was fine, but the motel room was worn out and the cleanliness was below standard—so I couldn’t even stay there.

The beds were old and caused me to roll into the middle of the mattress.
The owner was very friendly and the apartment was a good size for our family. Unfortunately, I had to wash the dishes before use; the pots and pans were greasy, plates still had hard food stuck, and the shower had a broken, lopsided soap stand covered in mould.
