We began our Italian trip on the wrong foot with a misleading B&B that left us stranded and unsafe in a foreign country. Luckily Domus in Fonte accepted us late that night, almost at 10 pm, and let us check in last minute, provided everything we needed to sleep, and even a bottle of water after a stressful day. Despite the language barrier, the staff communicated clearly and the owners arranged shuttle services to the train station and other spots since we hadn’t rented a car and were walking around central Pompeii. They went far beyond expectations and their hospitality was amazing. Our room was very nice, featuring a large bed and a bunk bed that could easily accommodate a family of four. The beds and pillows were comfortable, it had a private bathroom, and the air conditioner worked wonderfully in the heat. The property itself was great, but the staff and owners’ hospitality was truly special. We’ll know exactly where to stay when we return to Pompeii.
