“Pet friendly and right on the lakes edge”
Being able to bring my dog on holiday made the trip even better, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—no complaints there. Checking in and out was smooth, and they even let us park extra cars. We enjoyed strolling right onto the lake edge, which is great because Taupo is our yearly family destination and we’ll probably return. The room felt a bit dated, possibly an older unit, and the single beds weren't comfortable for adults. Since it’s dog‑friendly, we knew it wouldn’t be spotless, and that’s fine, but the bathroom needs an update and the lock was broken. The dog rules were strict: we could only leave them in the room for 30 minutes, which felt too short, even for quick grocery runs. Still, I’d stay there again.
