Hayamakan Ryokan offers traditional multi-course meals and indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. Rooms feature private hot-spring baths, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Located near JR Kaminoyama Onsen Train Station, with free shuttle service. Japanese-style and Western-style rooms available, with Yukata robes provided. The ryokan is close to Kaminoyama Castle, Zao Country Club, and Zao Ropeways, with a gift shop, lounge, and free parking.

Clean and good. The indoor hot spring had very little water, it took over two hours to fill it, so the indoor bath was useless. Was the room meant for that? The front desk explained something about the timing, but was that really a reason?

The people are warm, attentive and friendly. The place is a small lake but you can see Fuji straight from the room, the restaurant and the hotel entrance if the weather allows. The facilities are old. There’s not much to eat nearby for dinner, so they supply pizza and similar items (so it’s simple but they fix it). With the price you pay for the view, it’s a bit high compared to others.
