The environment was lush, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, but bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise because frogs and bats can get very enthusiastic at night, there are small monkeys in the trees around, it’s only a 10‑minute drive to the entrance of the chimpanzee tracking park, the food was very good, the staff were very friendly and attentive, and you can add activities like a night walk to see pottos or baby bush for an extra fee.

The atmosphere was incredible and evocative, the tents were fantastic and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming. The only issue was the use of card payments; because it’s a remote spot it’s understandable that problems may arise, but I would advise the hotel to warn guests ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.

The location is exceptional, just near where the chimpanzee trekking starts, the forest surrounding the lodge is magical, the food is very good, the room is nice and comfortable, and there are no negatives. I’m not giving a 10 because the value for money isn’t as good as other accommodations in Uganda.
