Parking was plenty, the room felt secure, and breakfast was nicely arranged, though the bathroom mirror had a small flaw that hinted at a lapse in maintenance.

The location was ideal for the Goodwood motor circuit and breakfast tasted great, but the room carried a terrible odor; after alerting housekeeping, they supplied room sprays and left a bottle of wine with chocolates as an apology, while the bar area could use a fresh coat of paint.

This is my fourth visit and I never get disappointed; everything is always perfect, and I’d advise anyone in the area to book the Sunday carvery from 12 to 6 pm in advance because it’s always busy, all homemade, locally sourced, with veggie options, and only £14.
