The food was amazing, even though I’m not Spanish and expected a more basic stop for rig drivers; the owner was friendly and his enthusiasm during the eclipse was infectious.

“Exceptionally friendly”

The place was exceptionally friendly and much nicer than it looks on the outside; the staff went out of their way to help us. The location wasn’t the best, but otherwise it was fine.

We were there for the solar eclipse. Angel, the owner, welcomed us warmly and was over the moon. That’s probably all that happens in his hotel, and it seems to attract little international crowds. He had custom mugs, cups, stickers printed for the eclipse and even created an eclipse menu. We were rarely so excitedly received in a hotel! The location was ideal for the eclipse; we stood alone on a harvested grain field. Otherwise there was a lot of nothing around. The small, sweet pool nearby was worth mentioning (we hadn’t expected it). Pack a swimsuit and a swim cap, because the cap is mandatory in the pool! For the eclipse we received free tickets from the hotel, another pleasant surprise. In the hotel we had a room with a brand‑new air conditioner—great relief with temperatures above 34°, a blessing. Everything was super clean, the food was simple and tasty, and the price‑performance ratio was excellent. We were fully satisfied and our expectations were far exceeded thanks to Angel and his great team.
