I was greeted by a very polite owner and stayed in a studio that had just finished a general renovation; the room, complete with a kitchenette and a bathroom, was well equipped.

“Na jedna noc ok”

The location was good and the rooms were clean, but I didn’t like the place at all. First, the price was too high for such a tiny room with a microscopic bathroom, which felt like an exaggeration. We compared it to Rychwald, where we ended up staying the same price in a beautifully renovated new house with several bedrooms, and luckily we only spent one night there. The owner seemed friendly, yet from the start she demanded a 40 zl fee for a dog, then refused to give us 10 zl and never offered to let us bring a lot of luggage. In the end we didn’t receive the rest because she said she would have to return to us…

The location was good, close to the slopes and not far from the centre on foot. A ski bus and bus stop are right in front of the house, and there’s a small shop next door. For guests arriving in summer, the garden and terrace are nice to sit on. Polish‑speaking guests have a large selection of books, board games, and a billiard table. The house carefully sorts waste into designated bins. The description claimed that every room had a private bathroom and wardrobe, but our three‑bedroom room had a bathroom and WC in the shared corridor, and if we didn’t lock it, strangers could enter. Instead of a wardrobe there was a dresser and a hanger; a wardrobe wouldn’t fit. The double bed had one larger duvet for two people, and my husband and I had to wrestle over it at night. We’re over twenty and would like each our own duvet. When I asked for a second duvet, I was told that one larger is the standard. The three‑bedroom room had no kitchenette; you can prepare food in the shared kitchenette, which supposedly has a coffee machine (a glass container for coffee was only there on the first day, then disappeared, so the machine couldn’t be used) and a kettle (the housemaid brought it on request). The kitchenette has a stove, but the oven and dishwasher are non‑functional and guests can’t use them. Both pots there have leaky bottoms. There’s also a camera on the fridge that keeps a watchful eye. You need to wear slippers; shoes are not allowed in the house.

“It was a terrible guest house.”

The stay was unpleasant. The guest house description was false: everything was old and worn, the room was very dirty with dust clumps, the WC was in the corridor, dishes were sticky, and the owner cut heating so the radiators were cold. We couldn’t dry children’s gloves or hats because everything was damp, cool, and smelled of mold. The nearby track was a total lie; the real ski resort is about eight kilometres away and getting there is very difficult. The ski bus runs only once an hour and not at all from 12:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. The yard items (barbecue, swings, benches, etc.) were unusable and broken. We were very disappointed in everything.

The place was very pleasant, clean and comfortable, with excellent equipment. The owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The grocery store and the Beskid Sport Arena ski slope are right on the doorstep. There’s a free ski bus to other slopes 10 metres from the pension. I will definitely return. I recommend it.
