The hosts, Michelle and Donal, were amazing along with their lovely dog Hank. Breakfast was exceptionally fast and would fill you up for the day. I would highly recommend staying here. We had to go back home.

“Wonderful stay in a lovely home”

Michelle and her husband were exceptionally kind and accommodating, making us feel very comfortable and preparing the food we liked. The rooms were extremely clean. We also adored their gentle dog Hank 😍😍😍 even though we are scared of dogs, we literally fell in love with him. The first time it was a bit tricky to find the premises; once you find it, it is very easy, but the first time it took us some time. For the rest, everything was fantastic.

We loved the hospitality of Michelle and Donal. The house and our room were lovely. The shower had really good pressure. The pool area was very relaxing. Breakfasts were plentiful and they even had decaf coffee for us, which often doesn’t happen. Meeting Hank the dog topped off the whole experience—he was so well behaved and gorgeous. Only for our personal preference the mattress was a bit too firm, but it was good to have a choice of pillows.

Michelle and Donal were such amazing hosts and their pup Hank was a sweetheart. We felt really at home and they were a mine of info and brilliant recommendations on the village and the island. The pool was amazing, as was breakfast, our room was super comfy, Xaghra was the perfect spot for exploring the island. I can’t state how much staying at Gilju made our holiday; we’re planning to be back next year 😍.
