The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and the view of nature and the passing train was lovely—great spot for Ella Rock. However, the stay felt more like an Airbnb room than a hotel or resort. The room was very noisy; I could hear the motorbikes/tuktuks on the street and loud music from the staff downstairs in the morning. The bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were broken and/or dirty. The minibar was empty, and there were no drinks available on the spot—only room‑temperature water. The TV displayed an error message about unpaid bills, and the front‑desk staff tried in vain to resolve it. The location is very remote, so we had booked a stay that included a restaurant, but we were told on arrival that the restaurant was unavailable and we had to arrange something else ourselves.

I chose Kithal Ella Station Resort, and honestly, it was an amazing place with a beautiful view. The location is great, and the railway station is within walking distance. The food was very tasty, and the chef prepared everything perfectly. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Ella Rock is very close to the property, and there is also a small waterfall nearby where we enjoyed a refreshing waterfall bath. The view is stunning, and the place is very calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The room was very clean, the bathroom was excellent, and all the room facilities were very comfortable. Breakfast was arranged in the room with a beautiful view. It was a wonderful experience having breakfast while watching the train pass by. The manager ( owner Ayesh ) were very supportive and even helped us arrange our train ride, which became a memorable experience for us. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella. The price we paid was very reasonable, and the service was excellent

Kithal Ella Station Resort sits right next to Kithal Ella railway station and is about a 30‑minute walk to Ella along the tracks. It’s an ideal spot for couples or anyone who wants a peaceful getaway away from the busy town of Ella. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a nice bed and a clean bathroom that had warm and hot water. The view from the room is amazing—you can see Ella Rock and the railway line, which makes the place very special. The food was also delicious. We had the rice and curry dinner and it was incredibly tasty. We also tried the famous Sri Lankan kottu, and honestly it was one of the best kottu we had in Sri Lanka. The resort is very close to Ella Rock, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing with the sounds of birds and nature all around. It’s a great place to relax peacefully. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Wi‑Fi speed was good, and since I had to do some online work, it really helped a lot. Overall, this is a beautiful place surrounded by green nature, with clean rooms and a peaceful environment. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella who wants a quiet and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!
