The bed and breakfast felt like a cozy home from a TV show, with an old house that has themed rooms (we stayed in the sea shell room) and every decor piece thoughtfully chosen, plus small touches like a makeup washcloth to keep white towels clean, beach towels, a tote for the trip, and extra pillows and bedding already in the closet; it’s less than five minutes from the train, so a car isn’t necessary—a great escape from Manhattan. We didn’t realize check‑in was only from 3‑6 pm and arrived very late; if we’d known, we’d have timed our travel better, but the host accommodated a later check‑in.
