“Very nice place to stay for a night with everything we needed.”
I only spent a single night while heading to the Banyak Islands, about a 30‑minute drive from the boat launch for the private speed‑boat trip. The staff arranged the ride and made everything straightforward. The property sits right on a gorgeous mangrove river with fishermen bobbing in and out. It was well maintained, the facilities clean, and the hot shower and cool AC/fan in the room were a welcome contrast. Mosquitoes were scarce inside and only occasional outside. The nearby town offered little for travelers, just a stop‑over on the way to the ocean islands. Breakfast was very basic, similar to other Sumatran breakfasts, but decent and inexpensive. The only downside was the lack of walkable attractions nearby.
Perfect for a stop before heading to Simeulue, Nias, or the Banyaks. The only issue was the road noise.

Die Unterkunft und das Essen ist sensationell und eine Erholung nach einer langen Anreise oder dem Standard auf den Inseln. Besonders bedanken möchte ich mich bei Claudine, die für uns alle Transporte von Banda Aceh über Blangpidie Singkil, speedboat nach Sikandang und zurück, weiter nach Berastagi und Bukit Lawang für 2 Familien mit 8 Personen, mit erstklassigen Fahrern, die englisch sprachen organisiert hat. Schade dass wir sie nicht getroffen haben. Die Unterkunft und das Organisationstalent von Claudine sind auf einem anderen Level in diesem wunderschönen Land. Danke!. Nichts!
A little paradise next to Singkil. The bungalows are huge, comfortable, clean, and cozy. It’s right in front of the river. The food is very good. Special mention to Claudine, who always responds quickly and helped us with everything we asked, including fixing a problem we had with a taxi.
