The Old Workshop

The Old Workshop was a stunning place to stay. I can’t praise it enough. The location was perfect, and overall it was a wonderful four‑day holiday.

The Old Workshop is very distinctive with plenty of open space to enjoy, and the location is ideal with city access. Parking in St. Ives was quite a challenge; we parked in the Main Car Park on the first night, walked down to the room after dropping off our luggage, and later realized the shuttle would have been easier.

I stayed in a very central spot in St. Ives that was perfect for our break. The place was lovely and comfortable, offering everything we needed, and the old workshop had been wonderfully restored into a unique accommodation. Emma was always in touch and handed us a book full of local suggestions, including great pizza and coffee spots that we loved; we’ll definitely return. If you’re driving, the two main car parks are on steep hills, which is typical for St. Ives, and you can catch a bus from one of them or park outside the property to load bags.

“A beautiful accommodation, clean and tastefully furnished.”

The Barbara Hepworth Museum is just a two‑minute walk, a must‑visit, and a ten‑minute stroll takes you to Tate St. Ives; heading a third direction puts you on the sea front within three or four minutes. Onzo pizzas are wood‑fired and incredibly tasty. I would highly recommend The Old Workshop and hope to come back soon.

“Fabulous in every way - highly recommend!”

Everything was perfect – the decor, amenities, location, and comfort – and Emma was very attentive, which was nice for a solo traveller.
