Sunde Fjord Hotel, located 100 metres from Solavågen ferry pier, offers free parking, breakfast, and Wi-Fi. Surrounded by mountains and fjords, the hotel features rooms with sea and mountain views, flat-screen TVs, and some with seating areas and patios. Original prints and paintings adorn the hotel, with some for sale, and Ålesund city centre is 20 km away.

The location, friendly staff, and good breakfast were positives, but it would have helped to remove the damaged furniture and perhaps improve the cleaning.

The room was spacious and well‑located, but the breakfast was lacking.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the single rooms were somewhat dysfunctional: a heater only worked after arranging an extension cord, sockets were behind the pillow, the hair dryer was sometimes missing, a sliding door couldn’t be opened by my older companion, one room had a constant annoying noise that forced a room change the next day, and the reception was unreachable at night. Oddly, a room had a kettle but no mugs or tea bags. The double rooms on the second stay were better.

The size of the room was good, and the newly renovated bathroom. Poor cleanliness, stained sheets and towels (probably clean, but stained). Dirty sink in the bathroom, very dirty and stained furniture in the room.
