The place was clean and comfortable, but the annex outside our room could use a refurbishment; otherwise the room itself was fine.

The location was excellent because we wanted to visit Tropicara on the way to Watchet, and it took us less than 10 minutes. At evening meals, the prices were a bit steep, and when we asked for liver and bacon they couldn’t accommodate it, so we had to choose a second option that was a bit disappointing for our 23rd wedding anniversary.

Breakfast was good and cooked, but a yoghurt and fruit option would have been a nice addition. The lanes to get there were narrow.

The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and very polite, offering brilliant support. However, the room had a bath but no shower, the taps on the hand basin were loose and spun when turned, and the toilet flush handle was loose, looking like someone tried to fix it with Gorilla Glue and failed.

The room was dusty.
