The location is gorgeous—sleeping here feels like a dream, and waking up is wonderful. The Hive offers all the comforts you could wish for, and the restaurant is great with a delicious breakfast.

We loved staying at the Sunset Hive. The entire reserve is breathtaking, with stunning ocean views, amazing sunsets, and a fantastic pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Hive features an outdoor shower, a hot tub, and a relaxing hammock area. The sunsets from the Hive were breathtaking, and on the first night we enjoyed a clear sky and stargazing that was out of this world. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tsitsikamma National Park.

The Hive Sunset blew me away with its wonderful vibe and superb facilities that delivered far more comfort than I’d imagined, everything looking brand‑new and high‑quality, even the surprise of having Netflix available was a pleasant bonus and the view from the bed was priceless. There’s an endless list of activities and things to do, so boredom never set in, and the dinner at the on‑site restaurant was tasty while breakfast offered a huge selection; having a restaurant on the grounds meant we never had to leave the property and the whole site felt well‑kept with plenty of parking. On the downside, the service fell short of my expectations—during breakfast we were left standing with no one to attend to us or even greet us, as the buffet setup seemed to take priority. The walk to the restaurant was inconvenient in bad weather; when it rained and the wind blew we were given a golf cart to reach dinner, but later when we tried to use it again the cart had disappeared. Also, the shower screen could have been longer to keep the water from splashing out.
