Everyone was very kind and the service good. The facilities were old, and we struggled with hot water that was either boiling or freezing. Unfortunately, when we raised the issue, the staff offered excuses and evasive answers instead of a solution, which took points away from an otherwise good stay.

The house and rooms are full of details. Remember to book the park entrance early if you want to visit the lagoons. We spent a pleasant night and day there, but we couldn’t do everything we had planned.

The tranquility and rustic feel bring back memories of “campo” houses. Breakfast was good, there’s no television but there is Wi‑Fi. It gets cold at night. You can walk to Guasca in about 10 minutes, or drive to Guatavita in 30 minutes. The room next to mine could be heard, and a water pump beside the bathroom made a noise every time a tap was turned on. Wase and Google Maps don’t show the exact location of the finca hotel.
