The location is very close to gorilla trekking. Parking for safari vehicles seemed insecure, so the owner gave us a safe locked yard to keep it in, which was much appreciated. Rooms were clean and hot water was HOT! Beds were soft and comfy. The place felt safe and staff were friendly, organized and helpful. Breakfast was right on time, generous, and tasty. If you are experienced in budget travel, you will be very satisfied. Being in the middle of town, it’s somewhat noisy at night but it’s right across from Bank of Kigali (helpful). This depends on who most of the clients are. If they are mostly foreign, just a few suggestions: charge a LITTLE more (e.g., 6,000FRW per night) to maintain really clean and good mosquito nets and provide 2 towels if there are 2 guests. The towels don’t need to be so giant (so you don’t have crazy laundry). Though the curtains look shabby, it really was clean, so that is a plus.

Excellent price-quality ratio, and the location is ideal for treks. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The cleanliness leaves a bit to be desired. The major problem was the double bed in a bowl (and frankly, I don’t think I’m looking for comfort). If the mattresses are reviewed and a bit more cleanliness added, that would be very good for me!

The spot is great, it has everything you could ask for, the room is spacious, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant is pretty good. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the national park.
