Isla Verde Hotel

The location was very convenient and the newly upgraded facilities look very nice.

“Nice, clean hotel with great location for the money.”

The place is conveniently located, easy to reach, and looks good. Checkout is at 12 pm; I asked for a later checkout and was told it wasn’t possible.

I was thrilled by the personalized care from the staff, especially Jorge, whose friendly demeanor and respectful treatment of guests stood out, and another unnamed lady who went out of her way to secure the room I wanted—thanks to both of them, the team felt fantastic. I did dislike the initial room (238) because its view didn’t match the promised mountains, but the young lady—name unknown—helped me switch to room (307), which was much better. On the last night of my stay, October 7th, 2026, contractors were working in the adjacent room and the chemical smell seeped through the door cracks, flooding my room with odor; as someone allergic to chemicals, I couldn’t sleep and had to leave the sliding door open all night. It would be helpful if they could check with guests about such odors and relocate those affected. Aside from that, I enjoyed my time at Isla Verde Hotel and plan to return.

It’s a solid spot to settle in San José—comfortable, with great service, and I’d recommend it.

“Genial”

This is my second stay at the place, and both times it has been a very good experience; the hotel is very clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the location works well for me.
