Great location for what we needed in our stay
Staff excellent nothing too much could feel the history recommend highly

“Failed Expectations Sadly”
The room size was good, with a large TV on the wall and a comfy King‑size bed; the high ceiling with wooden beams was a nice feature, parking and private access were convenient, and the location was near where we needed to be for one night. However, the room was dusty, the shower needed cleaning and was full of old hair, bins weren’t emptied, there were no toiletries, the bed looked like it had been slept in with crumpled sheets, it smelled musty, and there were no bedside lamps—just a shame, as it could have been a much better experience if it had been clean and welcoming.
Staff was friendly and location was good. Room was very basic. Only 1 bath towel between 2 of us. Although states online refurbished, this must of been a while ago and whole pub needs maintenance. Also although it states online good menu, no good available. Cost was a little high for standard

The food served was very good, and the landlady Julie was very helpful and friendly, as was all the staff. I’d say a charge of £60 would be more near the mark; the pricing could stop future visits.
“Not a good stay unlike the previous night in Bolton”
There was no food available, the internet was poor, and the place was not clean—the bathroom fan hadn’t been cleaned for months, the shower was heavily water‑stained and old, and dust covered pipes, skirting, and other surfaces.

It was near where I needed to be and had an entrance and exit that didn’t require me to go through the pub. The whole room sloped downward and the bathroom was rather small; there wasn’t enough loo roll for the stay and it wasn’t clear who to ask for more. Additionally, I arrived and the place was covered in St. Georges Flags—there were no English matches, but it was the same day as the Unite the Kingdom march in London.
